Subtle Advertising

By MauriceRevek - Posted on 17 February 2009

Wile perrusing the net for information about how to reset the registration key for a Microsoft product, I was directed to this particular page. Nice simple instructions, nothing out of the ordinary, until something cought my eye.

On the right, in the advertising column. Not sure if you will see exactly the same thing I saw, so I will describe it just in case.

hmmm... isn't a blitzkrieg already mobile?

Facebook's new TOS

By Stormblade - Posted on 16 February 2009

As if I needed another reason to never use Facebook for anything, the new Terms of Service make it clear that anything you post on Facebook becomes their property in perpetuity and they're free to do as they wish with it.

It's kind of like a tatoo. It may be cool now, but you have a lifetime to regret it.

The bus strike is over... let the bus strikes begin!

By Coxxorz - Posted on 16 February 2009

You know you've been playing too much Saints Row when you drive by an OC Transpo bus on someone's front lawn, and it doesn't even strike you as out of the ordinary for several moments...

Is this sad or hilarious?

By Blackwalt - Posted on 16 February 2009

Rolly! No Saints Row 2 for you! (not that this was an issue)

I'm pointing you to the Kotaku version, "I Know I'm Young, But I Plan To Be A Good Dad", where I first saw it.

During the baby's first days out of the hospital, Patten and Steadman spent their time caring for the baby and playing Saints Row II. From UK tabloid The Sun.

That's 13-year-old father Alfie Patten and 15 year-old mother Chantelle Steadman!

Bullet Dodging Bionic Body Armor

By Swag - Posted on 14 February 2009

Sweet:

"The armor would scan areas for incoming projectiles and when one is detected the system would deliver a shock to the muscles causing a swift reflexive action away from the projectile. "

StarCraft II Valentine's Cards

While this may be pointless for some of you,*cough* Moricerevek *cough* Stormblade *cough*, its nice of Blizzard to make up these awesome Starcraft II themed St. Valentines Day desktop backgrounds. Available in Terran, Zerg and Protoss versions.

I have already sent one. She favours Zerg by the way. Careful, they spit.

Blizzard has made multiple resolutions available.

The Emperor's Opal Review

By Akuf - Posted on 13 February 2009

Well let me start by saying the Tammy reminded me of an old girlfriend of mine who was into all the weird occult stuff. She even forced me to attend the psychic fair once. I was rather amused being surrounded by quacks for eight hours of my life but hey that is a different story.

Now, without getting into too much detail and spoilers on to the review...

Besides the fact that the book is full of Reveks (had to throw this in there). Read more
