It's the Coxxorz Friday Internet Magic Trick of the Week

By Coxxorz - Posted on 21 August 2009

Okay, make sure your volume is off for this one...

Without linking to any audio or video files, the song "Final Countdown" is now playing in your head.

Thank you, I'm here all week.

Battelstar Galactica - A (short) Retrospective review

By Swag - Posted on 21 August 2009

So I finally finished watching BSG from start to finish.

I was originally going to write a long review, but you guys have the attention span of flies.

Here I go:

SFX: Very well done, especially the "blurry" Firefly camera and audio design. But the Centurion animations and rendering were generally poor.

Acting/characters: Hit a miss really. Some excellent characters were Baltar, Sing, Admiral Adama, the Cylon from Quantum Leap, and my favorite, Tom Zarek (I love his two face persona). Read more

After a couple of nights of messing around with this game, I figured I'd share my thoughts with those of you still sitting on the fence.

I'm Batman and you're Robin

By Blackwalt - Posted on 19 August 2009

Rolly and Blackwalt have a bedtime conversation

Rolly: "I'm Batman and you're Robin."

Me: "Okay..."

Rolly: "You can borrow my Bat-things if you want."

Me: "How about some Bat-a-rangs?"

Rolly: "No, you have your own."

Me: "Can I borrow the Batmobile?"

Rolly: "No, I have to drive it."

Me: "Okay, how about the Batplane?"

Rolly: "No, I'm using it."

So close

So very, very close

Screenjunkies posted an article, that for the lack of a single word, fell short of the Best Article Ever.

TOP 10 NAZI KILLING MOVIES.

Yes. So close and yet so far. However, at least #5, Shock Waves, is a Nazi Zombie movie.

Okay, now that you maggots have had more than a month to download this baby, there's NO EXCUSE to not play this tonight. It's only 1200 points, so grab a points card on your way home and download it while you wait for the pizza to arrive. Or better yet: sign into your account, buy some points online, and your Xbox will download it as soon as your wife turns it on!

Even Snuffy has committed to trying to get online.

Half-Pint is counting on YOU.

Joystiq says that the latest issue of Game Informer has the results of a survey suggesting 54.2% of XBox 360s have failed, but only 3.8% of those surveyed would never buy a 360 again.

All that really tells me is that all other consoles suck so bad that people will take the failure rate just to have a decent gaming platform. Just buy a second one, you n00bs!!

Now its official - Half-pint is living on borrowed time

By Blackwalt - Posted on 17 August 2009

It only seemed that way up until now

What?: Would you leave me alone already. What?: Would you leave me alone already.

So yesterday Half-pint was the healthiest cat that a vet had ever seen with
feline immunodeficiency virus, today he is the healthiest cat that a vet had ever seen with feline leukemia.

Want some of me?: Well yes, yes I do...Want some of me?: Well yes, yes I do...Here we go again

Yes I know I am not Coxxorz but I haven't figured out his password yet. Technically, I did hear of this first through an email from him.

Batman: Arkham Asylum for Xbox 360 will be sold at Wal-Mart fo $38.83 on its release day, August 25th. Still listed as $69.99 at Future Shop , Best Buy and etc.

Also confirmed here and at Walmart online.

I have tried the demo and it is pretty good. I had not intended to buy it at $69.99. But at $38.83? Absolutely. Plus, it's BATMAN! Hello!! Please note that this is not the Collectors Edition with the stainless steel replica Batarang which would have been cool in its own right. Stormblade! Where are you?

Plus I would like to reward a vendor for doing an one day only price cut for Video Games as well as movies. Hopefully it will be a success for Walmart and happen for more games.

Half-pint vs. the Vet

By Blackwalt - Posted on 17 August 2009

Not looking so good this timeI've only used twelve of my lives already...I've only used twelve of my lives already...

Email from Guba out to our close friends. Closer than you guys.

Took HP to vet today because he was not eating well for the past week. He has lost 1.2 kg.

The vet thinks it is either a deep bone infection or bone cancer. Will be scheduling him in for a biopsy later this week once they get the results of the blood tests.

Were hoping he has one more of his nine lives left and it will just turn out to be the first diagnosis. He is now on antibiotics and is allowed to eat as much as he wants. He came home and took his antibiotics without much trouble
and polished off 1/2 can of high fat food.

Will keep you posted of further developments as the week progresses.

Here is something...
