I had to get home and open it to be sure, but it finafuckingly arrived... one week and a day after the game was available to the masses, my personal, specially pre-ordered copy of Left 4 Dead is here!

I was a bit worried about disc slippage due to the awkward bulge in the case, but that was just the handy French copy of the instructions crammed in there ("Qu'est-ce que c'est, ''le Tank''... AH MON DIEU! AU SECOURS!!!").

So now I've got my shiny new copy, and I'm all set for Friday's LAN party! Who's with me?!!!!

So there I was, the might Smoker class zombie following behind the group of Survivors going through the metro-train level of Left 4 Dead PC. I was being aided by 3 of my friend zombies, whom where are in front of the Survivors waiting to ambush these noobs. Now, I was being a bit ballsy, following quite close. The rear guard saw me right when they where going down into the first main section of the level (the toll-both area, about 15% of the way into the level). So over the weekend I went out for a friend's birthday.

one of them made Paris Hilton look fat
The other made Rosie O'Donnell (sp?) look skinny.

They made eye contact with me and told me to go over.
So I naturally do because ugly girls usually have pretty friends.

I just wanted to say thanks. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to pre-order Left 4 Dead for Xbox 360 online a couple weeks back. I was really looking forward to playing it when it came out on the 17th. It would have given me lots of time to try it out before our Left 4 Dead LAN Party on the 21st, which you probably heard about.

I went over to Morices Revek's place on the weekend, and logged into HoC to post some flippant comment on how much the X-Box sux, and the Wii is heavenly (although I do secretly have an x-box fetish..... mmmm Tomb Raider polygons), and then I left the next morning to spend time at Q-Berts place.

Don't know why you would be installing Halo 3 to your Hard drive when Left 4 Dead is out but DON'T

Don't copy Halo 3 to your hard drive!

Yes, apparently Halo 3 is broken when it comes to copying to your Hard Drive.

Basically, the game was programmed to copy map files from the disc to the HDD to speed up load times. If you install the game to the HDD, it copies the files from your HDD to...another part of your HDD, which is a lot slower than a disc-to-HDD transfer.

No idea if they will fix it or what other games are also flawed in this way. Stay tuned.

What I like:
1) The up to 8 person chat outside of a game
2) copying the game to the HD I copied GOW2 yesterday and holy crap the noise level was almost gone...almost
3) The interface for games I like how you can see your achievements easier etc
4) The fact that you can still get the blade interface by pressing the xbox button...Thank goodness...Coxxorz and I agree with this option.

What I hate
1) the Miis....uh... I mean Avatars....I think they did this to attract Wii losers...I mean...users. The childish interface will appeal to them and parents. Read more
