Man some people are gullible

By Akuf - Posted on 16 July 2008

Ok this is how this all started Accomplice #1 and myself sent a text message to victim saying: "Press 6 to view the rest of this message"
Then Revek himself and accomplice #2 came into the picture

And here is the email conversation that followed:

Victim:
What is that text you guys sent Press 6 to receive the rest of the message?

Accomplice #1:
must be broken...have you called anyone with a '6' in their phone number recently?

Victim:
Yes it has a 6 but i press and nothing happens.

Do i reply with a 6 and send?

That was fast!

By Blackwalt - Posted on 15 July 2008

It's here. It's here.

My repaired (theoretically, as I haven't tested it yet) Xbox 360 core is back from Microsoft.

That wasn't too bad, clocking in at eleven days. I guess when you pay for repair it is processed slightly faster than warranty work.

Unreal Tournament 3

By Akuf - Posted on 14 July 2008

Seeing as how no one is playing any of our regular shooters anymore.

And I am never around when you guys play COD4. Since I am still at level 12 or something like that, I always seem to be the red shirt when I join games with crackly voiced prepubescent teens that seem to always be around talking tough because they are somewhere else in the world.

Anyway...

Well I have been a fan of the UT series for quite some time.
And the game is more or less the same as it's predecessors. Read more

Questionable Decision Making

By Stormblade - Posted on 07 July 2008

11,500 ft - WTF??11,500 ft - WTF??Friday, July 4, Brother's back yard - There are moments when you shouldn't make life choices. At a barbecue in the sunshine while drinking several beers is one of them. Unfortunately, these are often the times when one makes decisions based solely on relaxed inhibitions and increased hubris. Here we go again!

Defective once again, my Xbox 360 Core returns to Microsoft...

Again with the stinking coffinAgain with the stinking coffinBecause I haven't had enough issues with Microsoft's faulty Xbox 360 design:

HoC node 1444, HoC node 46 , HoC node 103 , HoC node 138 , HoC node 145 , HoC node 235 , HoC node 339 , HoC node 412, HoC node 805, and HoC node 807 although some of these are stories more than actual flaws

As mentioned in a previous blog entry my Xbox 360 Core has failed yet again. Admittedly, after loaning it to MoriceRevek. Like that's ever going to happen again! And after researching the complications involved in replacing the DVD drive myself or locally I am sending it in to Microsoft for repair.

The indecision of Stormblade

Amazon shipping box: Not as secure as you might think (but not open)Amazon shipping box: Not as secure as you might think (but not open)So I received a Amazon shipping box today. Addressed to me but with no sender info. Now earlier this week Stormblade had mentioned to me that I was getting a package from him and made me promise "not to open it!" (until my birthday which is sometime soon) So, yes, I promised to be good(ish).

But with no sender information how was I to know that this box was from him? Sure the odds were good but it could be from some random stranger. It could be!

I will admit that it is most likely from Stormblade and as such I will stick to my promise (for now). Fortunately for my weak will, however, this box had substantial openings at either end and while I had promised not to open the box, no one said anything about peeking into the box. What a convenient loophole. And as an added bonus I could also fit my hands into the box and nobody said anything about feeling around inside the box!

In Honour of Canada Day

By Stormblade - Posted on 01 July 2008

I'll leave it up to Weird Al to portray the sentiments. He's an honourary Canadian anyway.

Which, says something about Canada, but I'm not sure what.

Freudian Slip perhaps?

By Akuf - Posted on 29 June 2008

Well over the weekend in an email loop for some of the volunteers for City Chase Ottawa.

So here is my actual response:

Hey guys since the majority of us are in the West end why not meet at the Local Herpes
(Local Heroes for you non Ottawans) on Clyde.

It was a typo which I didn't realize until one of the girls who happens to be one of my "special friends" replies:

I hope that is a Freudian slip....lol

See you tomorrow

XBox 360 Core to Blackwalt - "Screw you... again!"

By Blackwalt - Posted on 29 June 2008

This time it's MoriceRevek's fault

What the ???: my Xbox 360 Console trying to play GRID.What the ???: my Xbox 360 Console trying to play GRID.So the latest step in Revek's campaign to make sure I never loan him anything again my Xbox 360 Core system, recently returned from a weekend visit with Revek and his cousin, has stopped reading DVD and game disks. And it doesn't read them in a very loud manner.

The latest twist (see picture) happened in the most recent attempt to convince it to play GRID, apparently it thinks its a Wii. While I am not sure what Legen sie diese Disk zum Abspielen in eine Xbox 360 Konsole ein means I am fairly sure its similar to "You're screwed, send us (Microsoft) even more money." And yes, I am probably going to. Sometimes I hate myself. And sometimes I hate MoriceRevek.

Wow
