Although this one in a different series thanks to Aku.

And it pretty much wrote itself...

If only there wasn't that pesky money issue...

A forum post over at Insanely Mac shows the box opening and testing of the EFIX V1.

What is the EFIX V1? Here is the definition from efi-x.com:

EFI-X™, created by EFI-X™ R&D team, is a revolutionary new hardware device with updatable and exchangable Firmware.
It is used to run original and unmodified copies of Apple® Mac OSX™ legally and without any post install hacks on compatible hardware PCs.

Call of Duty 4 Weekend – Double XP

By Blackwalt - Posted on 11 September 2008

plus 50% off the Variety Map Pack DLC

In case you haven't seen the news yet Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is having a Double Experience Points weekend September 12th to 14th. That's this weekend by the way.

Also the Variety Map Pack downloadable content is half price as well. 400 MS points instead of 800 MS points. Useful for those of you who don't have it already (Akufadumamai). Not so useful for those of you who just bought it last week (MoriceRevek). Why does it always happen to him?

Video Game Console to PC Monitor adapter

By Coxxorz - Posted on 11 September 2008

Yes, it's Dell Days of Deals again. Yes, they just had one 5 minutes ago. Yes, the specials have been pretty crappy so far. But this little nugget caught my eye: the Video Game Jockey Console To PC Monitor Converter Adapter (I'm not even joking - it's really called that).

For Troll's benefit

This ad is required viewing to get a better understanding of the Canadian experience.

Yes, we can sum it up in a 30-second beer commercial. Sad really.

Whatever

I really don't know why I continue to post these things, since people from other clans are more likely to play on any given night than you bums. Let's say "Project Gotham Racing 4" (PGR4) will be the game, just to see what happens. First person online wins the right to change the game.

9pm start.

GO!

An experiment in the works

By Blackwalt - Posted on 10 September 2008

Please take it in the right spirit

UPDATED!

So I (and Coxxorz in a small way) have been working on this idea for a while. Here is one of the early prototypes.

Provide your feedback, ideas, and abuse in the comments field as per usual. And be kind (by our standards anyway)as this is way off my usual career choice...

We have 2-3 other prototypes and will be posting them over the next week (or so...).

Also the comic strip needs a name of it own so ideas for that would be welcome.

Another Warhammer Battle March review

By Blackwalt - Posted on 10 September 2008

But is it the same game?

Ztgamedomain has a review of Warhammer Battle March.

I am not sure its the same game that Gamespot reviewed.

With gems like:

  • Namco Bandai's latest is one of the better attempts at the genre on a console
  • Battle March offers so much more it is hard not to recommend it to fans of the series
  • The online is the other shining point for Battle March

For some reason...

....I thought of Revek when I heard this

How poutine got it's name

A Quebecer came to Ottawa and went to a local chip wagon and ordered: (Spoken with heavy Quebecois accent)

"I would like to order a french fry but can you please poutine some cheese and poutine some gravy"

Warhammer Battle March – finally a review

By Blackwalt - Posted on 09 September 2008

Not rushing out to buy it

Gamespot has a review of Warhammer Battle March.

With gems like:

  • It's a shame that the controls are so unwieldy
  • every mission has its share of slow moments that will lull you to sleep
  • few people are playing the game via Xbox Live.

Apparently I can wait to buy it...

It seems Metallicrap is becoming Metallica again

By Akuf - Posted on 08 September 2008

I have heard a couple of the songs already it I am simply reminded of Ride The Lightning....

Expect to see even more ads on Xbox Live

By Blackwalt - Posted on 08 September 2008

Xbox Live listed #7 on AdWeek's Digital Hot List

I guess this is good news.

However, Live is still behind Hulu, Glam, and Youtube. Here is the entire list:

  1. GOOGLE
  2. FACEBOOK
  3. IPHONE
  4. HULU
  5. GLAM
  6. YOUTUBE
  7. XBOX LIVE
  8. THE HUFFINGTON POST
  9. IMEEM
  10. STARDOLL

More on Guitar Praise – well... on the Christian game market really.

By Blackwalt - Posted on 08 September 2008

Are they received poorly because they suck or because they are Christian?

GameSetWatch has a column discussing the niche market of Christian games. His comment seems to be leaning toward Christian games being negatively received because they are christian. Going against the general consensus that they are received poorly because they are cheap knock offs or just suck.

Of course, I wouldn't want to accuse Guitar Praise of being a cheap knock off because it sounds original. Oh, and it costs $99.99.
