People who keep crying about how they don't sounds like the "old" metallica are idiots.

They aren't 25 years old anymore, and even if they sounded like Master of Puppets every with every cd that they released, people would just complain that they sound the same all the time. Things change, deal with it.

Any band that doesn't at least somewhat change their sound over the course of 25 years is what people should be worrying about.

But for the record, I really do like 'The day that never comes' and "Unforgiven 3". The other songs that I heard were not very good...but maybe I'll give them another chance.

....I am all for bands changing their sound for the sake of Music that is great. But in Metallica's case (Black, Load, Reload and Not so much St. Anger) You have to admit they sold out for the almighty dollar. Especially on Load and Reload I had university professors who never heard of them and became fans with load and reload.

Black wasn't too bad but you can see the commercialism starting to set in.

St. Anger I think Metallica was trying to sound like like one of those I don't even what to call them (Linkin park, Limp Bizkit etc) bands.

This album though (IMHO) still sounds different from their Pre-Black stuff but it doesn't seem radio play and the dollar was influenced here. Well maybe the dollar was because die hard fans will be die hard fans no matter which Metallica you like/dislike.

I haven't heard unforgiven 3 though.

Hey Revek you can get the album for Guitar Hero for only $18 :p
