Ok, Maybe not, but since I haven't been on Live for a bit I thought I would at least update you as to why (as if you care). Most of you are aware I have been renovating a house in the Laurentians for some time now. It is actually starting to get somewhere. The past two weeks have been spent finishing the wiring and getting windows installed. By installed, I mean cutting new holes in the house.
Yes, that's me using power tools. Be very afraid.
So now I have a sliding door to nowhere. The deck is going to be a summer project. Of course, I may fail to mention the lack of deck to some visitors in order to rid myself of ... problems. Especially at night after they've been drinking. "Hey, Blackwalt, come on out and look at my new deck ... Heh heh heh ..."

That's you cutting a main beam with a power saw. How's the house standing up these days ?
Get your arse in gear and go down to your local home impediment store and get a decent ladder. If you die the amount of material on this site will be drastically reduced. Plus what would Mike Holmes say if he saw you doing that?
I was on the kitchen stool just to take a quick measurement. There is a limit even to MY stupidity.

Of the epitaphs we could write on his tombstone:

This one was even mildly amusing.
Because then it would never get read.
Oh master of home renovation, that a) is not a main beam (it's the top of the frame for the sliding door) and b) I am cutting the exterior wood paneling along the horizontal of the frame.
... the chances were pretty high you were cutting a main beam ...
Those old barns were really over-engineered.
