Paradise Lost

By Blackwalt - Posted on 20 March 2018

As mentioned previous my return to Paradise City in Burnout Paradise Remastered has been accompanied with a significant increase in Stormblade content. See Burnout Paradise Re-Stormbladed and Less like Paradise, more like Stormblade for further explanation.

PLEASE NOTE: I still haven't played with him online. Something which I am sure will happen eventually.

Sea of Thieves Live Action Trailer

Museum of More Pirate Trailer

Sea of Thieves launches tomorrow. I am still not enamored by it. The Open Beta did not capture me the way I was expecting. I could see it being fun for a HoC coop crew but I think I will wait for a price drop. Unless a bunch of you buy it for some reason. And then randomly run a LAN party around it.

Because that doesn't sound like something we would do...

Less like Paradise, more like Stormblade

I can't seem to lose Stormblade in Paradise City

Due to some happy accident I managed to get the constant Stormblade splash screens to stop. Whether it was something he did or that I did, I have no idea.

But just when I thought it was safe the news ticker started up. As you can guess: Stormblade, Stormblade, Stormblade, Stormblade, Stormblade...

How do I get my money back?

Burnout Paradise Re-Stormbladed

By Blackwalt - Posted on 17 March 2018

Paradise? I don't think so...

It was more the opposite.

So I forgot how social Burnout Paradise was early in the days of Xbox Love online experimentation. It constantly updated you with how your friends were doing in the game. Whether or not you were in a game with them.

I had been looking forward to my afternoon of Burnout Paradise Remastered.

And then... Stormblade

Vicious Attack Llama Apocalypse

By Blackwalt - Posted on 16 March 2018

Released today on Xbox One

I spotted this while purchasing Burnout Paradise Remastered. It is very hard not to appreciate what they are doing here.

    The world's best mass llama-slaughter roguelike-lite-ish couch co-op top-down twin-stick shooter.

    Sucking less each day!

Visit the VALA official website to learn more.

It's not quite the Alpacalypse but it's close...

Something is now available

By Blackwalt - Posted on 16 March 2018

See you in Paradise City!

Crew 2 release date announced

By Blackwalt - Posted on 15 March 2018

June 29, 2018

Now with Planes and Boats. And still cars one assumes.

I know the rest of you didn't buy into The Crew the way I did but it was an awesome racing game designed for 4-player coop. Although I think the most HoC members we ever had at one time was two.

Maybe we'll do better this time.

Note that I waited for The Crew to hit half price before I bought it and will probably do the same here barring any random coop day.

Black Ops IIII announced

By Blackwalt - Posted on 10 March 2018

And yes it is IIII not IV

Trying to steal Ubisoft's Thunder this was technically announced the same day as Division 2. It just took me some time to post it.

From the Activision Announcement:

The next title in the Call of Duty franchise will be Call of Duty: Black Ops 4! Treyarch is set to revolutionize the top-selling series in Call of Duty history when it launches worldwide on Friday, October 12, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Be sure to mark your calendars for Thursday, May 17, when you can tune in to a community reveal event about the game-changing experience coming in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

Sea of Thieves Final Beta runs this weekend

By Blackwalt - Posted on 09 March 2018

Seems like a good opportunity to test out this four player cooperative pirate game

A chance to decide if Herd of Cats wants to put together a crew.

The Final Beta is available for download now.

From the Xbox Wire:

As we head towards launch on March 20, we have one Final Beta test to run. This gives us an opportunity to grow our scale testing to our largest number yet, it allows us to test a broader range of features than ever before and it also gives anyone that is interested a chance to play and experience Sea of Thieves first-hand.

FAIR WARNING: this is an 18.5GB download.

Ubisoft announced something today

By Blackwalt - Posted on 08 March 2018

Ubisoft Is Making The Division 2

“It wasn’t an easy decision,” the game’s creative director, Julian Gerighty, said in a livestream today, regarding the decision to make a sequel. “There are so many stories and so many experiences we want to explore within the Division that we really thought a sequel was the best way to investigate these things.”

By Blackwalt - Posted on 08 March 2018

I think we may be losing Rolly...

This is a dinosaur version of Pokemon Go. Because Rolly wasn't addicted enough to Pokemon Go.

Releasing just before the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom movie this June.

And here is it's Official Site.
