See, I love Green Lantern...

in the comics. I love the war of light, the push and pull between fear and will power. Characters like Atrocitus, Scar, William Hand, Kyle Rayner, John Stewart, Guy Gardner,Salak, etc. But they belong in the comics. Not on the big screen.

A guy in a spider suit struggling with puberty, people get that. A guy in a bat suit who is pissed because someone murdered his parents, they get that too. Hey, they even get an alien who has awesome power and has decided to use that to protect people.

But a guy wearing a magic ring who belongs to a corp. of peacekeepers that are fueled by willpower... that's a bit of a stretch for anyone but a nerd.
