The Coxxorz Late Tuesday Deal of the Week
As you may recall, Wal-Mart had the Xbox 360 Arcade on sale for $149 not too long ago.
This was a short-lived Anniversary Sale price (that was temporarily matched by Best Buy), which has now gone back up to $199. So imagine my surprise when I discovered that Toys R Us is now clearing out the Super Uber-Cool Halo 3 Special Edition Xbox 360 for the same price!
In case you're still reading and not already driving directly to the store to get one, let's compare what you get with these consoles:

Now I personally find this deal particularly interesting, as it originally sold for over $400 when it first appeared in Canada. Not only did it have the Street Cred I was craving, but it was rumoured to contain a new, cooler-running CPU (to prevent the dreaded Red Ring of Death). I had to save my pennies and trade in all my old and crappy games to Blockbuster to build up enough store credit to grab one at the first sign of a price drop.
It has served me well, withstanding extreme heat in my (home) office during the summer, and on the road to at least one LAN party. So wether you're looking for a backup system, or just a gift idea for your neighbour, I highly recommend seeking one out.
Just don't bother looking at the Merivale Road location.

Going to head to the St. Laurent location at lunchtime. Not expecting anything though. I'll let you know what I find.

to save me the trip. The girl thought I was nuts.
Sigh, I was hoping to get an HDMI capable XBox, and a cool one to boot.
Not sure if it is the same girl or not, but she said "Oh, we do have a Modern Warfare 2 Special edition though".
"Yes, I am aware of that, but it costs 3 times more"
"Arcade edition is only for $199"
"Thanks" and left.
I bet he could get her to substitute the Halo Elite console instead.
Because this is about to make Fungster blue in the face....
So I went to the St Laurent location.
No I didn't just would love to see fungster get blue in the face.
Actually I may attempt this later.
There were none on the shelf in the labeled spot.
When we asked they pulled one from behind the counter and one from the store room.
