Xbox 360 repair timeline

Okay so when my 360 core died I delayed a bit before calling Microsoft but...

  • Tuesday August 28th – Phoned Microsoft Support
  • Tuesday September 4th – Received Xbox 360 coffin through Purolator
  • Wednesday September 5th – Packed and shipped out through Purolator
  • Thursday September 6th – Received by Microsoft.
    ...long delay...
  • Thursday September 27th – Note from Purolator on door. Package can be picked up next day.
  • Friday September 28th – Picked up new coffin with refurbished Xbox 360 and 30 day free Live card.
  • So all in all a replacement time of one month. Four weeks and 3 days. Almost survivable if it hadn't been for that pesky Halo 3 release date...

Fortunately I had my Xbox 360 elite to see me through the downtime.

If you hadn't delayed, you would not currently own a 360 Elite?
