Yesterday, I heard a rumor, that a certain member of our clan took a printout of the special deal from the web site that Coxxorz posted, went to FS with it, and was able to get the game for the posted price of $7.67.
Is there any truth to this?
but he also said FS honor that for yesterday only and he did it around 8pm. I met him around 8:50pm for couple pints near Merviale and found this out.
The kicker is I was at BestBuy to get some credit back (due to cashier's mistake) at around 8:30pm and he knew about it too. All I can say is "Thanks for SHARING".
Ok I was the one that printed it out and got it for that price.
But here is another option.
Was talking to my nephew earlier today and he paid the $38.83.
I told him I got it for 7.67 and he didn't believe me. So he came over and we went to FS together and they matched his price. I tried to get a couple more copies but they wouldn't let me (BASTAGES). So I have my nephew's refund receipt if anyone wants to borrow it and try to get it for the same price I can loan it to you for a nominal fee.
This will be easier if you have a receipt dated yesterday.
I'm impressed. If I'd known, I would have given you the screen cap of the whole page.
I'd have to take it out of the frame, though.
Before you get your panties in a knot:
1) YES, it is (was) real. Clearly a price error. Just on long enough for some late night lurkers to order it.
2) YES, I ordered a few, from different stores, in case of order cancellation.
3) YES, Best Buy had the same error on their website, with a limit of 1 per person.
4) YES, most of those orders got cancelled this morning.
And YES, I am very good with Photoshop. But this is not one of those.
...I did manage to get a couple at that price. But they're already spoken for. If I'm somehow able to get any more, rest assured I'll offer them to you guys, probably in exchange for performing some unspeakable, humiliating act.
Does anyone know if BestBuy, Futureshop use the billing address or credit card no. to detect if one household try to buy more than one (product limited 1 per household)? or some other method?
They've never had limited quantities of anything I've ever wanted more than one of. I think if you create a second account (new email address), you should be okay. Columbia House was stupid that way too.
Picking up your "limited" items in the store however, is a different story.
Offer you $10 for a copy if you did order 99 copies.
