Xbox Series S no longer a rumour

The smaller Next Generation Xbox Series Console is officially announced

UPDATE: promo video added after the break.

Xbox Series S | Next-gen performance in the ˢᵐᵃˡˡᵉˢᵗ Xbox ever. $299 USD (ERP).

No optical drive in this version, so backwards compatibility from physical discs will not be a thing.

Unfortunately the announced $299 USD price means that the rumoured $599 USD Xbox Series X price is probably accurate. Hopefully it isn't more than that. (Although I am also reading that $499 USD is a strong possibility).
