The pirate portion of Assassin's Creed Black Flag turned out to be so popular that Ubisoft is turning it into a stand alone game.

To be fair, the pirate portion of Assassin's Creed Black Flag was totally awesome. Black Flag was the only Assassin's Creed game I sunk significant time into and that was solely due to the piracy side. The fact that it was free with my Xbox One was totally irrelevant. So was Unity and I barely played that at all.
