HoC Ark: Survival Evolved Diaries #4

Last night Coxxorz and I were once again feeding our addiction to Ark: Survival Evolved. We both had trouble getting into the server which made it much worse when Coxxorz locked up and disconnected.

His character was still there as far as I could see. In the middle of nowhere which is a recipe for disaster in ARK, a world populated by carnivorous dinosaurs.

Blackwalt: "Did you want me to plant a torch so you can find your body if you don't spawn back here?"

Coxxorz: "No. That would be advertising where I am to the dinos!"

Blackwalt: "Oh, okay..."

So I put up a sign instead...

This is what greeted Coxxorz when he rejoined the server. The sign was planted directly behind him with two standing torches on either side for proper lighting.

I had funnier text but despite the size of the sign you are limited on how much type you can put on it.

On a separate note it also allowed for damage to his character which is normally not allowed. The server we play on is not PVP.

I discovered this when one of my sword blows destroyed his chitin chestpiece.

Blackwalt: "Umm... Your chitin shirt just randomly vanished..."
