Periscope is a instant-on live video streaming smartphone app that was recently acquired by Twitter. At the end of May 2015, the android client was finally released.


Using an interface similar to a twitter client I was able to view several video streams of :

  • Rush playing a concert in Atlanta, GA
  • The Who in Brooklyn, NY
  • Cats. Lots of cats.

There is an epic battle this and competing app called Meerkat. Of course, Twitter having acquired Periscope, they've blocked Meerkat from their API.
