I am keeping the cats inside...
This majestic bird was sitting in the middle of our backyard yesterday afternoon like it owned the place. As far as I was concerned it did because I was too afraid to evict it.
The clump of snow sticking up to it's immediate left? That is a wing, attached to its prey.

Will have to keep an eye out for them in the future. Only thing flying over Barrhaven is crows and airplanes.
And seagulls. Lots of seagulls. Thanks, Trail Road Landfill.
And take pictures.
In our area there are quite of few of these.
In my back yard alone I see two or three quite often.
I even watched one fly away with chipmunk.
We seem to have a stray cat problem.
