What is it with me and parking boats?

I so meant to park it there:

This would have been fine if I didn't need the dinghy to finish a quest! Unfortunately I did. I was boating around the entire island of Los Santos collecting broken submarine parts to check them for signs of sabotage. It was taking a while and stranding my dinghy did not help. My only choice was to get it back into the water somehow.

That went well...

And now, in a fit of game logic, I have a wanted level for blowing up my own boat.

It was mostly an accident...
